Assign users to clients

This is step 3 of 7 to set up your practice.

After inviting a colleague to use Partner Edition. Set their access level and control which clients they see and work with.

Assign a user to a client

You need appropriate permissions to assign users.

  1. From the client list, select Assign User on the relevant client.

  2. Select the plus icon next to each user you want to assign.
  3. Select Save.

Unassign a user from a client

  1. From the client list, select the assigned users' initials.
  2. Select the minus icon next to each user you want to unassign from this client.
  3. Select Save.

Filter the client list by user

Once you have some clients assigned to users, you can filter the client list.

  1. From the client list, select Filter.
  2. From the Assigned drop-down list, choose a user to filter by.

To show all clients, from the Assigned drop-down list, choose All Users.

Restrict client list so users only see clients they are assigned to

If you’re the owner, you can restrict the client list so users only see the clients they’ve been assigned to. You might want to do this as a security measure.

  1. Select the business name in the menu bar.
  2. Select Manage Business Account.
  3. Select User management.
  4. Select View and filter all clients then Only view assigned clients.
  5. Select Save.

With the option set to Only view assigned clients your users will only see clients that have been assigned to them.
