Enter here information about the company. The details you enter on the Company Information page will be used to populate the company tax return, CT600.
|Company name||Enter the name of the company as it should appear on the CT600.|
|Company registration number||Enter the eight-character company registration number. You can find this on the company’s Certificate of Incorporation, as well as other Companies House documentation.|
|Unique tax reference||Enter the ten-digit unique tax reference (UTR). The number will be shown on theHMRCtax return notice, as well as other correspondence fromHMRC.|
|Type of company||Page one of the CT600 requires you to make an entry in the Type of company section, if the company falls into one of several categories. If the company is a close investment company or is in liquidation, select the ‘Close investment company’ or ‘Company in liquidation’ option as appropriate. If the company does not fall into either category, then select ‘Normal computation-no company type required’.|
Cessation of Trade
If the company’s trade has ceased at the end of this period, then select Trade has ceased at the end of the period.
This will not create an entry on the CT600, but will, where appropriate, calculate a balancing allowance for the trade main and special rate capital allowance pools.
UK Property Business Commencement and Cessation
If the company has a UK property business which began on a date falling within this period, then enter this at Commencement date.
If the UK property business began during the accounting period, then any Writing Down Allowances will be time-apportioned.
If the company’s UK property business ceased on a date falling within this period, then enter this at Cessation date. This will, where appropriate, calculate a balancing allowance for the property income main and special rate capital allowance pools. You cannot claim Annual Investment Allowance or First Year Allowance for the property business for this period and any property business losses will not be carried forward.
