Disconnecting from Stripe

If you decide that you no longer want to take card payments for invoices with Stripe, you can disconnect your account.

Do not use the Stripe Dashboard to disallow access. You should only disconnect your Stripe account from Sage Accounting.

Before disconnecting

Consider the following items before disconnecting your Stripe account:

  • If there are no bank transactions in the Stripe account, the Stripe account tile in Banking is deleted when you disconnect your Stripe account.
  • The details of the card that was used for a Stripe payment will no longer display in the Payment details window.
  • You will no longer be able to access the Stripe Dashboard from the disconnected Stripe bank account.
  • If you later decide to use Stripe again, you must create a new Stripe account.

To disconnect your Stripe account

  1. Go to Settings, Apps and connections and then click Stripe.
  2. At the bottom of the page, click Disconnect Account.
  3. Click Yes to confirm that you want to disconnect your account.

Note: The Stripe bank tile may continue to display as Account Disconnected after you disconnect your Stripe account.
